I heard you guys got nailed up there. They completely botched the forecast so it looks like they're already in mid-season form. NWS actually UPPED our forecasted totals the day before we were supposed to get hit. We ended up with 0.00"!

they ( 4 bad guys from the nws) botched it all right, our T-1" turned out to be 10". I had some salt in the truck for the dusting.

I don't think any of us are really ready this early! We got 3" last Friday at the house, not sure what we got at the shop, but nothing stuck to pavement or concrete. Another 1/2" this morning, but once again the ground is too warm. I'm running hard core trying to get fall projects done along with getting equipment ready, the snow and colder temps need to hold off for another couple weeks, where the heck is our Indian summer? All the customer projects are done, now it's my turn... Trying to get a hot tub slab poured this week, and hoping to finish the rear patio pour and privacy fence before our first plowable snow... Worked on it some this weekend, but last Friday's rain/snow and lack of any kind of drying sunshine made for a helluva muddy mess!

Parts for the spreader should be here tomorrow, picking up the sweeper for the new 'bota this afternoon, 3 out of 4 plows are ready to go, the 4th just needs a couple cutting edge bolts, which of course requires a hardware store run... We could go if the snow amounted to anything, but so far it's just toying with us...

Just had a new one...this customer that I plow/mow six sites for sent me up to Brainerd to plow 4 locations there because their old contractor up and quit apparently. Emergency service they said, whatever it takes just get it done. I left my deer stand early to head up there. I get to Fort Ripley and I'm thinking that there doesn't seem to be very much snow on the ground. I get to Brainerd and there's NOTHING. No snow whatsoever. Who in the heck made the request for immediate service? I probably won't ever find out but I called the main office in Sioux Falls and they said to send an invoice for my time so it wasn't a total loss.
