yea I got it, no oil, run it , it seizes, no more smoke...
but what if he used an additive like slick 50.

I might have been born at night but it wasn't last night.

Slick 50 would allow him to run it forever. But we all know bir is too cheap as well as lazy to add that to his oil.

    No more smoke.

Or you could buy a real lawn mower that won't dent.

As for sharpening the blades, I hear hand files that are almost worn out from sharpening scraper edges work great for mower blades.

well this one was around a grand i think. Probably more i actually dont really remember. the other one was just under four hundred.

so lets say 1400 invested in lawnmowers (nevermind weedwacker, sheers etc.).

if they last fourteen years it is a hundred a year without upkeep or fuel. JUST FOR THE SAKE of it say upkeep is fifty dollars a year on them.

so it costs me 150 dollars a year plus my time.

dont you think that is enough $ to spend just to grass?

They still work. why would i go buy another one. spend more on it. That will serve the same purpose and just increase what it costs me per year to mow grass ?

I make no money doing this. It is a complete expense.

Now for another piece of equipment such as a tractor i am considering and will be able to justify that expense in the future so will at some point get one.
But why spend money to replace something that is already doing its intended purpose before its full life expectancy has been used?

It works well for mowing around my dandelions.

imo people spend way to much on this crap for personal use. At some point you got to realize it is cheaper to just let the grass grow or tar over it.

Sabre is still running. It got two new front tires this year dry rot kilt them and I realized mowing with the front tires flat made it hard to turn. I take good care of it changed oil least every three years

Digging up some old ones, eh bri?

Trying to liven the place up?

Careful, remember what happened last time you did that. And don't dare mention a word aboot POS electric spreaders from Meyer or any other manufacturer, you don't want to sound snarky.

Now we know where Sno got his 6 pack rack idea from while mowing.

And from what I can remember aboot the texts I was getting last summer, bri and Sno could be brothers when it comes aroond to mowing the lawn.

PS I hope after 7 years your taste in beer has matured.
